Five more years for Digital Twin Cities Center

Five more years for Digital Twin Cities Center

The Digital Twin Cities Centre has received approval to continue its research for another five years. The centre has successfully completed numerous projects and is now planning for the future.

Digital Twin Cities Centre has been given the green light to continue its research for another five years. The centre started in 2020 with the vision to establish the Digital Twin City concept as the foundation for digital planning, design, construction and management of sustainable, intelligent and liveable cities and regions throughout Sweden by 2030. Over the past few years, the centre has achieved significant milestones, successfully completing numerous research projects that have drawn collaboration from various stakeholders.

– We’re very proud and happy with the results produced within the centre so far. We’ve had the pleasure of working with many engaged partners who see great benefit in using our research results as an important step in moving into the future of design and construction. Together with them and our skilled colleagues we are hoping to produce many more important insights over the next five years, says Anders Logg, director of Digital Twin Cities Centre.

The centre is partially financed by Vinnova and has now been given the green light to continue for another five years.

– We’ve done an extensive evaluation process with Vinnova and the results were positive. The next step for us is to plan for the coming five years and decide what we want to focus on together with our partners. We are thrilled about the opportunity to keep improving the Digital Twin City concept, says Anders Logg.
