This week all 30 DTCC partners came together to discuss ongoing projects and pre-liminary results as well as new ideas. Due to the pandemic the Centre Day was the first opportunity for all partners to meet physically at “A Working Lab” in Gothenburg since the Centre’s inauguration in March 2020.
Centre Director Anders Logg presented some of the many achievements. “We have started 7 milestone projects, executed several outreach and education activities, welcomed 8 new partners, and raised awareness for urban Digital Twins on the national and international level.”
The day began with 3 inspiring keynotes by Hugo Ledoux (TU Delft), Daniel Hall (ETH Zurich) and David Weir-McCall (Epic games). After lunch 7 workshops were hosted by the different Research Areas and Milestone Projects and presented a chance to deep dive into several research questions and technologies.
In 2022 DTCC will kick off new Milestone Projects, increase the development of the open Digital Twin Platform and host several events including a public seminar series with the focus on municipalities.
