University of Salento joins DTCC

The Digital Twin Cities Centre is happy to announce that top ranked Italian University of Salento (Lecce) is joining the centre.

The newest partner will make important contributions through the Research Center of Security and Resilience of Critical Infrastructures (CRISR). One of CRISR’s focus areas is the analysis of data-driven Cyber-Physical-Social approaches to resilience which is strongly related to the digital twin concept and its capability to perform risk assessment, develop resilience models and offer innovative training and educational activities.

Centre coordinator Bernd Ketzler highlights the possibility for enhanced collaboration on specific topics. “CRISR is a very valuable partner for us and will strengthen research on topics such as energy resilience of rural areas, data models and big data management to further support the design and customization of the Digital Twin platform”.
