Epic Games has committed an 80000 dollar grant to support the game engine development in the Centre. The Digital Twin Platform (Research Area 0) makes use of the many capabilities that Epic’s Unreal Engine can offer to all researchers and partners in the Centre.
The application “Nordic Link-securing Nordic linear infrastructure networks against climate induced natural hazards” was successful, and will receive a 12 million NOK grand from NordForsk for a three-year project period beginning in September 2020.
With over 70 participants representing 30 partners from academia, industry and the public sector, the newDigital Twin Cities Centre (DTCC) was launched in a virtual kick-off event. Due to the Covid-19 situation, the kick-off took place in the form of large video conference.
